Dal Khichdi

Bahan Membuat Dal Khichdi

  1. It's of rice.
  2. It's of moong dal.
  3. Prepare of toor(arhar) dal.
  4. Prepare of ghee.
  5. Prepare of water.
  6. Prepare of bay leaf.
  7. It's of slit green chillies.
  8. You need of red chillies.
  9. Prepare of cumin seeds.
  10. You need of asafoetida.
  11. Prepare of curry leaves.
  12. It's of coriander leaves finely chopped.
  13. You need of turmeric powder.
  14. You need of red chilli powder.
  15. You need of garam masala.
  16. Prepare of tomato finely chopped.
  17. Prepare of garlic pod finely chopped (optional).
  18. It's of kasuri methi.

Langkah Memasak Dal Khichdi

  1. Rinse rice and lentils together and soaked for 30 minutes..
  2. Heat the 1 1/2 tsp ghee in cooker. Add cumin seeds,asafoetida,1/2 tbsp kasuri methi, garlic,slit green chillies, curry leaves, turmeric powder and sauté. Add finely chopped tomato and sauté..
  3. Now add 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp garam masala and tej patta, mix all ingredients together well..
  4. Add rice and lentils. Add water and stir well. Add salt according to taste..
  5. Close the lid and pressure cook the dal khichdi for 2 whistle on high flame.Then sim the gas and cook it for 5 minutes..
  6. Switch off the gas. Let the pressure release naturally..
  7. Open the lid and mix the khichdi well..
  8. Heat the ghee in small pan on low flame for tadka. Add cumin seeds,pinch asafoetida, 1/2 tbsp kasuri methi, red chilli,1/2 tsp red chilli powder and pour tadka over it..
  9. Dal khichdi is ready. Serve with raita..
