- Firstly, in a pressure cooker heat ghee and saute cumin seeds and pinch of hing.
- Add onion and saute till it turns translucent.
- Add tomato and saute till it turns soft and mushy.
- Add turmeric, kitchenking masala,kasuri methi,salt and saute.
- Add rice and moong dal,soaked for 20 mins.
- Saute on low flame for a minute or till moong dal turns aromat.
- Pour 4 cup of water and stir well.
- Pressure cook for 3 whistle.
- Moong dal khichdi is ready to serve it serve with curd or aachar.
