To prepare the matki amti, I follow.
Usal (Oo-sal) is a traditional Maharashtrian curry prepared with sprouted legumes.
Matki(Mat-kee) a.k.a Moth beans, when sprouted are rich in proteins.
Bahan Membuat Matki usal/ sprouted moth curry
- It's 125 gms of Sprouted moth/matki.
- It's 1/2 of Finely chopped onion.
- You need 1 of finely chopped tomato.
- You need 1 of Onion &.
- You need 6-7 of garlic pods.
- You need 1 inch of ginger paste.
- You need 1 tsp of mustard seeds.
- Prepare 1 tsp of Cumin seeds.
- It's 1 tbsp of coriander powder.
- Prepare 1 tsp of jeera powder.
- You need 1 tsp of Garam masala.
- Prepare 1 tsp of Turmeric powder.
- Prepare 2 tsp of Red chilli powder.
- It's 1 pinch of Asefoetida/ hing.
- It's to taste of Salt.
- It's 1 tsp of Sugar.
- Prepare of Coriander leaves for garnishing.
Langkah Memasak Matki usal/ sprouted moth curry
- Take oil in pressure cooker add Mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let it splutter then add asefoetida.
- Add onion,ginger, garlic paste and saute well,add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and sugar.saute till oil oozes out..
- Then add finely chopped onions and saute for 5 mins.add chopped tomatoes and garam masala/ misal masla (easily available) and saute. Oil will ooze out. Add sprouted moth and water and then salt.mix well and let it cook till 1 whistle..
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve..
