Bahan Membuat Vagharelo Bhaat/Gujarati Masala Bhaat

  1. It's of Basmati rice (1 cup).
  2. It's of Clarified butter (ghee) (3 tbsp).
  3. Prepare Cloves of (laung) (2).
  4. You need of Cinnamon (dalchini) (1).
  5. You need of Cumin seeds (jeera) (½ tsp).
  6. You need of Potato, cubed (½ cup).
  7. You need of Asafoetida (hing) (a pinch).
  8. Prepare of Green peas (hari matar) (½ cup).
  9. It's of Haldi/Turmeric Powder (1 tsp).
  10. You need of Lal Mirch/Red Chilli Powder (1 tsp).
  11. You need of Garam Masala (½ tsp).
  12. Prepare of Salt (to taste).

Langkah Memasak Vagharelo Bhaat/Gujarati Masala Bhaat

  1. Wash the rice and then soak it in sufficient water for at least 30 mins. Keep sautéing on a m.
  2. In a kadhai, heat ghee and then, add in the laung, dalchini and jeera.
  3. Drain and keep aside. You could also use cooked, leftover rice.. As the jeera begins to crackle, add in the hing, cubed potatoes, green peas, and salt. Keep sautéing for 3 to 4 mins..
  4. Now, add in Haldi/Turmeric Powder, Lal Mirch/Red Chilli Powder, Garam Masala and rice. Mix carefully so that the rice grains do not crumble..
  5. Keep sautéing on a medium flame for another 5 mins and then pour in some water. Mix well. Cover with a lid and let the mix simmer till the rice has cooked through. Stir intermittently..
  6. Serve hot with fresh curd..
