Bahan Membuat Bengali masoor dal khichdi
- You need 1 cup of Red lentils / masoor dal (skinned).
- Prepare 1 cup of Par-boiled rice.
- You need 1 of big potato cut into chunks.
- You need 1 of medium sized onion, cut into sliced.
- Prepare 3-4 of garlic cloves.
- You need 1 tbsp of Ginger paste.
- Prepare 1 of chopped Tomatoes.
- You need 2-3 of Green chillies.
- Prepare 2-3 of each Whole garam masala (cloves, cinnamon, cardamom).
- Prepare 1 tsp of Cumin powder (roasted).
- It's 1/2 tsp of Turmeric powder.
- You need 1/2 tsp of Red chilli powder.
- It's 1-2 of Bay leaf.
- It's To taste of Salt.
- You need To taste of Sugar.
- You need As required of Ghee.
Langkah Memasak Bengali masoor dal khichdi
- Wash and soak the rice for half an hour..
- Wash the lentils properly..
- In a pressure cooker, heat one tablespoon ghee..
- Temper it with whole spices, bay leaf..
- Fry the onion slices till translucent. Fry the garlic and ginger paste too..
- Add the lentils and rice, potatoes, tomatoes, green chillies and other spices..
- Saute them for a while..
- Add salt and four cups water..
- Pressure cook till done..
- This khichdi will be runny in texture..
- Adjust salt, seasonings and add sugar..
- Add remaining ghee, give a nice stir and serve hot..
