For those unaware, khichdi is a complete meal made with rice and lentils which are pressure cooked together and in India it's synonyms with illness.
Khichdi is a South Asian rice dish made from rice and dal (the split version of pulses like lentils, peas, mung beans, etc.).
Bahan Membuat Khichdi
- You need 1/2 cup of moong-masoor dal.
- You need 1 cup of rice.
- Prepare 1 of finely chopped onion.
- It's 1-2 of finely chopped tomatoes.
- You need 2 of chopped green chilli.
- You need To taste of Salt.
- It's 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
- It's 1 tsp of Red chilli powder.
- It's 1-2 tsp of coriander powder.
- It's as needed of water.
- Prepare As needed of Oil.
- It's 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste.
- Prepare 2 of green chillies.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds.
Langkah Memasak Khichdi
- Heat oil in cooker, add cumin seeds and green chilli, after few seconds add onions,fry it till colour change..
- Add tomatoes and ginger garlic paste, then add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and fry it well..
- Then add dal and water and boil it for 5-10 minutes on medium to low flame. Now add rice and water in the cooker, and cover the cooker. Cook it for 5-10 minutes on high to low flame. Khichdi is ready to serve. Enjoy with green chilli and pickle..
