  1. Wash and soak tuvar dal in water for 20-25 minutes and then cook in pressure cooker with required water. Then blend nicely with blender..
  2. Add more water as required. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dhania jeera powder, jaggery and tamarind paste. Add raw peanuts and fenugreek seeds powder and keep on flame. Boil for at least 10-15 minutes or till get desired consistency. (More you boil, get better taste. So add enough water)..
  3. For tadka heat oil in tadka pan. Add mustard seeds. When crackles add asafoetida, dry red chillies and curry leaves. Pour into dal and cook for couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Enjoy with rice..
