- You need of Toor/tuvar dal/motor in bengali.
- It's of Refined Oil.
- Prepare of Ghee.
- Prepare of Tomato chopped medium size.
- It's of Coriander leaves chopped.
- Prepare of Turmeric powder.
- Prepare of Red chilli powder.
- You need of Jaggery a lump.
- Prepare of Coriander powder.
- It's of Cumin powder.
- You need of Lemon juice.
- You need of Salt.
- You need of Mustard seeds.
- You need of Cumin seeds.
- It's of Asafoetida.
- It's of Curry leaves a sprig.
- It's of Dry red chilli.
- It's of Cocum/Tamarind juice.
- It's of Cinnamon stick.
- It's of Cloves.
- It's of Water.
Langkah Memasak Gujarati Dal
- Pressure cook the dal with water for around 4-5 whistles and then churn it with a hand blender..
- Heat oil and ghee. Temper with mustard,cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, cloves,dry red chilli, curry leaves, asafoetida and let them fragrant and splutter..
- Add tomato chopped and stir everything well. Cook it for 2-3 mins until the tomato turn mushy. Then add the churned dal and water. Let it come to a boil. Bubble it on low-medium heat.Now add salt,turmeric, red chilli, cumin, coriander powder, cocum and give it a good mix..
- Add the jaggery, coriander leaves choppedand then let the dal simmer for about 8-10 mins on a low flame.Once the dal is cooked and has the proper consistency turn off the flame. Serve it hot with plain rice or roti..
