- Prepare of self raising flour.
- Prepare of margarine.
- Prepare of sugar.
- You need of eggs.
- You need of Orange rind.
- Prepare of cardamon.
- Prepare of salt.
- Prepare of milk.
Langkah Memasak Orange cardamon bis-mandazi
- Assemble all the ingridients.
- Mix sugar and margarine.
- Add eggs and whisk thoroughly.
- Add flour, Orange rind, cardamom and salt, mix using your hands till the dough is crumbly.
- Add milk and mix in to make dough.
- Add a little cooking oil on the dough.
- Cover the dough with polythene and let it rest for 20mins.
- This is how the dough should look like on the inside after resting.
- Pinch a small ball and flatten with rolling pin it should not be soo thin, then cut into desired shape.
- Heat oil and dip fry make sure both sides are golden brown.
- Remove from oil and place on kitchen towel to drain excess oil.
- Let them cool and enjoy with a glass of juice or tea.
Deep fry the mandazi in hot oil one at a time over a medium-low heat turning to other side and cook untill golden brown. They should puff up and rise once dipped into the oil.
